Our Charges

The highest cost is for initial consultation – currently up to $300 – as at December 2022. (Medicare rebate is around $137.)

Our services are available to patients in regional areas from our consulting rooms in Leura, Blacktown and Dubbo.

Our Teaching

We are a teaching practice which provides training opportunities for Neurology Registrars in a clinical environment.

Migraine

Migraine is severe headache – often accompanied by sensitivity to light. Our knowledge of prevention and treatment gives you access to the best help available.

Epilepsy

Epilepsy is a neurological disorder that causes seizures and/or unusual sensations. Treatment can assist in controlling episodes. More than 10,000 cases occur in Australia each year.

Parkinson’s

Parkinson’s Disease is a chronic and progressive movement disorder that is characterised by tremor, stiffness and slowing of movement. Treatment can help manage the symptoms.

Neuropathy

Peripheral Neuropathy is a peripheral nerve disorder that causes weakness, numbness and pain in the patient’s feet and hands. Over 500,000 cases are recorded in Australia each year.

Alzeheimer’s

Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause of dementia — a continuous decline in thinking, behavioral and social skills that affects a person’s ability to function independently.

Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis is a disease in which the body’s own immune system attacks the myelin, the protective layer around nerve fibres Treatment can help manage the symptoms.

Traumatic Injury

Traumatic Brain Injury can result in physical, cognitive, social, emotional and behavioral symptoms. Many improvements in treatment have been made in recent years.

Encephalopathy

The major symptom of encephalopathy is an altered mental state. This can be caused by infections, anoxia, metabolic problems, toxins, drugs, physiologic changes and trauma.

Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS)

Nerve Conduction Studies are sophisticated electrical tests which measure the transmission of impulses along the nerves and the contraction of muscle fibres.

Botox Treatment for Migraine

For many chronic migraine sufferers, Botox injections work to gradually decrease the frequency and severity of headaches. It’s a treatment that improves their quality of life.

Electroencephalography (EEG)

Electroencephalography (EEG) is an electrophysiological monitoring method in which electrodes are placed on the scalp to record the electrical activity of the brain.
